Methodology

How We Chose

Scores are calculated from the facts published on each provider's own plan page, using the same checklist for every product:

  • Price transparency (0-2) — is the price published, and is the renewal price published next to it? Hosting's biggest cost surprise is the second term.
  • Included platform features (0-2) — SSL, CDN, backups (daily scores higher than weekly), staging.
  • Capacity for the money (0-1.5) — websites, storage and bandwidth on the entry plan.
  • Reliability commitment (0-1.5) — a stated uptime SLA or guarantee.
  • Operational tooling (0-1.5) — control panel, migration help, WordPress management.
  • Refund window (0-1.5) — a stated money-back period or free trial.

Points are lost for facts a provider does not publish. We did not run uptime or speed tests: this is a documentation-based comparison of what you can verify before you pay, and every claim links to the page it came from.
