Developers and agencies who want managed cloud without long contracts

Managed servers on five clouds from $11/month with hourly billing, free migration, staging and a three-day trial — and no shared-hosting renewal trap.

Holds up
  • + Hourly billing at the published monthly rate — no long term and no renewal step
  • + Free migration, free SSL, test-site and automated backups are included
  • + You choose the underlying cloud (DigitalOcean, Vultr, Linode, AWS or Google Cloud) and the region from nine locations
Weigh up
  • − You manage applications yourself; this is not beginner shared hosting
  • − No e-mail hosting and no uptime commitment are stated on the pricing page
  • − No money-back policy is stated (the trial replaces it)

Business WordPress sites that need managed infrastructure

Managed WordPress from $35/month (or $350 billed annually) with staging, CDN bandwidth allowances and an uptime SLA of up to 99.99%.

Holds up
  • + Prices are published for every tier, including the annual discount ($350 billed annually)
  • + Free one-click test-site environments on every plan
  • + Plans state visit allowances, storage, CDN bandwidth and server bandwidth separately
Weigh up
  • − Ten to twenty times the price of shared hosting: this is not a beginner's first plan
  • − No mailbox service is stated — e-mail is a separate provider's job
  • − No money-back window is stated on the plans page

Methodology

How We Chose

Scores are calculated from the facts published on each provider's own plan page, using the same checklist for every product:

  • Price transparency (0-2) — is the price published, and is the renewal price published next to it? Hosting's biggest cost surprise is the second term.
  • Included platform features (0-2) — SSL, CDN, backups (daily scores higher than weekly), staging.
  • Capacity for the money (0-1.5) — websites, storage and bandwidth on the entry plan.
  • Reliability commitment (0-1.5) — a stated uptime SLA or guarantee.
  • Operational tooling (0-1.5) — control panel, migration help, WordPress management.
  • Refund window (0-1.5) — a stated money-back period or free trial.

Points are lost for facts a provider does not publish. We did not run uptime or speed tests: this is a documentation-based comparison of what you can verify before you pay, and every claim links to the page it came from.
